What happens in the first session?
The first session goes to describing what brought you here, what you want to change and what you have tried before. At the end a plan is proposed, and you decide for yourself whether to continue.
What decides what it costs?
The price per session depends on whether it is individual or for a couple, and on whether it happens in person or over video. How many sessions are needed varies – some questions resolve in a handful, others take longer.
Does what I say stay between us?
What you say stays in the room. The exceptions are the ones the law sets out, above all when a child is at risk or there is serious danger to life – and you are told before anything of that kind is acted on.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy usually helps when something keeps recurring even though you know what you should do – thoughts, relationship patterns or reactions that will not shift on their own. Get in touch with a short description and we will say whether what we work with fits what you are looking for.
