What do I do first with a water leak?

Shut the main stopcock and cut the power to anything standing in water – that stops the damage growing while you wait. Take photos too; the insurer will want to see how it looked.

What does clearing a blocked drain cost?

The cost depends on where the blockage sits: one in the trap clears quickly, while one further out in the riser needs a jetting unit or a camera. We start with the simplest option and tell you before going further.

Does the bathroom have to come out to change a tap?

No. A mixer is swapped onto the existing connections without touching tiles or waterproofing. Only if the connections sit wrong or are corroded does the wall need opening.
